Did You Know… Temuera Morrison as Jedi Knight

Did you know… that kiwi actor Temuera Morrison, as well as appearing as Jango Fett and clone troopers in the Prequel Trilogy, and as Boba Fett and Captain Rex in multiple live-action series on Disney+, also once donned Jedi Knight robes for Revenge of the Sith movie scenes?

In a deleted scene from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda were originally to have be greeted by a squad of clone troopers disguised as Jedi on Coruscant. Little material still exists, but does include the promotional image shown on this page, and animatic versions of the scene do appear on the 2014 blu-ray release of Episode III.

Very interestingly, however, 25 years after Revenge of the Sith debuted in theatres, the disguised clone trooper character has been incorporated into the mobile app game Galaxy of Heroes. This support character has a Dark Side alignment, and new material on the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes website describes his backstory and involvement in Operation Knightfall in greater detail:

Disguised Clone Troopers were part of Order 66, gatekeeping the Jedi Temple for Jedi returning to Coruscant after the distress beacon beckoning them back was activated as a trap. Dressed in Jedi robes, Decoy Squad Five would ambush the unsuspecting Jedi as they approached the temple.
