Princess Leia Chibi Silver Coin from NZ Mint
Star Wars Chibi coins from NZ Mint have been released on a monthly schedule, and generally sell within the first few minutes of being released. Today, a very cute Princess Leia was released at 10:00am. She is the 8th coin in the Star Wars Chibi series (check out our full coverage of this series here).
This cool Star Wars collectible is placed inside a specially designed case moulded to the coin’s shape, for protection. The Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse of the coin and confirms it as legal tender.
A Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the box along with confirmation of the 2,000 mintage and the coin’s unique number. The box includes a large window, so the coin can be easily displayed, and is printed with more images of Princess Leia.
Officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd, these limited-edition coins of one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes are bound to be popular!
