Santa Parades

We’re coming up on the Santa Parade season, with events taking place around the country on most weekends between now and Christmas Day itself. What’s that got to do with the Star Wars fandom?…well, this year there will be Star Wars characters marching in the parades at a good number of locations spread through NZ.

Starting this Sunday (Nov 30th), weather permitting, Stormtroopers, Rebels, and Jedi will be helping the Child Cancer Foundation collect donations during the Auckland Santa Parade. Next weekend we’ll see Star Wars represented at both the Ashburton Santa Parade (Saturday Dec 6th) and the Christchurch Santa Parade (Sunday Dec 7th). And, a little closer to Christmas proper, Wellington will have its Parade with Star Wars support on Sunday Dec 14th.
