LEGO Star Wars The Exhibition Coming to Wellington

The NZ Herald is reporting that the world-famous LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition will be coming to Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, opening on June 27, 2026, with tickets going on sale from tomorrow (May 4th).

The LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition, created by LEGO® Certified Professional Ryan “Brickman” McNaught and his team of master builders, debuted at the Melbourne Museum in Australia, where it closed back in January 2026. A huge success over the Tasman, we were hoping that it might make its way to New Zealand following on from the Jurassic World by Brickman exhibition at the same Wellington venue in 2023. More details are expected to follow on the Tākina Exhibition Centre website shortly, alongside the website for the exhibition itself, at LEGOStarWarsTheExhibition.com.

The LEGO Star Wars exhibition is described as utilising 8 million LEGO bricks across 60 large-scale models and 10 themed zones. Featuring life-sized builds and interactive displays, this premiere event took 25,000 hours to construct, and covers Star Wars characters and scenes from across the entire history of movies and streaming media.
