NZ Mint Silver Coin – Battle of Hoth
New Zealand Mint have released the first in a new Star Wars Battle Scenes collection of 3oz legally tender silver coins. The Battle of Hoth coin, featuring imagery from The Empire Strikes Back, is out now, and will e limited to a run of 1,000 coins.
This striking 3oz pure silver coin reimagines the Battle of Hoth in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. AT-AT Walkers, a Scout Walker, a Star Destroyer, and a Snowtrooper are shown in engraved relief with a frosted finish. These are complemented by a coloured background landscape and a mirror finish sky. This coin has it all!
The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II can be found on the obverse and confirms the coin is legal tender. There is a mintage of just 1,000!
Each special coin arrives in a compact, themed box lined with black velvet. A Certificate of Authenticity is found on the back of the box along with the coin’s unique serial number.
