Taika Amongst Mandalorian Emmy Nominations

Kiwi entertainment all-rounder Taika Waititi is amongst the 15 Emmy Award nominations listed for the Disney+ streaming series The Mandalorian, revealed this morning.

The Mandalorian’s nominations are spread across many categories and episodes (check the full official list of 2020 Emmy nominations here). Taika’s nomination specifically is in the Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance category, for his work as IG-11 in Chapter 8: Redemption. The series What We Do In The Shadows is also recognised in a number of categories, including Outstanding Comedy Series – the vampire mockumentary, based on the 2014 movie created by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, has Taika listed with writing, directing, and producing credits.
