Taika Waititi to Direct Star Wars Feature Film

It’s official – for May the Fourth (in the US), StarWars.com has just confirmed that kiwi Taika Waititi will direct and co-write a new Star Wars feature film for theatrical release.

Taika’s involvement follows his success working on the season finale of The Mandalorian, season 1, and Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok. Outside of Taika’s Disney project, he of course also recently won an Academy Award (Best Adapted Screenplay) for Jojo Rabbit. 

No additional details or information about timing at this place, but we’ll be keeping an eye out and reporting as soon as we hear more.
