Competition no.21: What’s Your Favourite Collectible?

SWNZ celebrates its 3rd birthday today. To mark the occasion, competition number 21 features a prize pack with a bit of New Zealand flavour – a mint-on-card Commander Cody figure (Saga collection no.24) paired with a mint-on-card Utapau Clone Trooper (Saga collection no.26). Both of these characters were played by New Zealanders (I’m sure everybody here knows that Temuera Morrison played Commander Cody, and the clone troopers were played by both Tem and Bodie Taylor). These two republic soldiers also feature in one of the assorted SWNZ logos (which are selected randomly each page load).

How do you enter for these excellent prizes? Simple: as the name, “What’s your favourite collectible”, suggests, this competition is all about showing off one of your favourite pieces from your collection. Send in 1-3 photos of your chosen, favourite collectible, and write a short paragraph (approximately 50 words) explaining why it is amongst your most valued items. Is it rare, vintage, expensive, huge, unique, or just of old-fashioned sentimental value? When we first ran this competition back in 2004 we received some photos of great items with interesting accompanying stories (click here to see them). It’ll be interesting to see what turns up this time!

Selected entries will be showcased on the SWNZ homepage as the competiton runs. The prize draw will be random.

Entry is open to all SWNZ regulars who are New Zealand residents. Only one entry per person (i.e., one entry per email address/IP address, except by arrangement). Winner will be contacted by email (valid email address and real names are required).
