Non hasbro weapon molds?

Post by Dawfydd »

I don't know where to put this topic if there is a better place for it, please feel free to move this topic there.

So basically I'm wondering if there is anyone or anywhere to get extra weapons or helmets etc for 4inch figures.
As in my other thread I'm interested in finding extra weapons and pieces for my growing collection.
It would also provide a cheaper way to obtain some figures as loose without weapons/pieces sometimes is a very low cost compared to complete, for cheap army building.

I was thinking some of the simpler weapons might be commonly molded by hobbyists.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I can't say I've seen a lot of sources for cheap/bulk modern weapons for figures (there are a number for vintage figures), but that's mainly from not looking specifically.

If you're looking for army building figures, then there are a few eBay sellers based in China that sell loose, but new, figures (that sometimes come with complete accessories, sometimes not)...they often sell bundles of 5 army-building figures, that end up being $4-6 each (shipping isn't actually too bad from China if you buy a few figures to spread the cost-per-figure).

I've used both of these sellers in the past:
Has some army-builder bundles at the moment - http://stores.ebay.com/Hobbystockcn-Toy ... 34.c0.m322
No bundles at the moment, but usually does, so keep an eye on them - http://stores.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Army-S ... 581&_pgn=5

Yeah thanks, Most my army building comes from those two and some others on ebay and a couple of bulk auctions for clone wars stuff on trademe also.

Just my imperial display is greatly lacking extra weapons i vaguely knew people redid older weapons because sometimes they get lost but i don't know how hard it'd be to make a plastic mold for these days rifles as they are fairly delicate.

I search periodically on ebay for bulk weapon auctions but because only 1/20 auctions ship to nz and a 3rd of them ship at a reasonable price its hard to find them, though i do hope hasbro does like with the saga? collection and releases "extra weapons" more often.

have brought weapons from a number of times, postage is fairly cheap and the guns good quality,
mainly military / gi joe ones, but they do have a few sci fi weapons
bring on rogue one, episode 8 and what ever else they have in stall for us :D

Thanks!! i already spotted a pulse rifle haha cool, at very least a couple of the different looking guns can work for EU characters. ^_^

Wow jackpot! lol least for the weapons, the mg-34 which the dlt-19 stormtrooper rifle was based on, will certainly do as a replacement weapon! and haha megatron! :D

normally they have just done solid colours, black, grey etc

but recently they have started some painted ones, which I can say are awesome

look better than the real thing in some cases

Indeed, it makes me wish the Pulse rifles were scaled up for Halo figures as i have some for stand in Marines for my predator display.
