I'm at Westgate as we speak. Jb has heaps, and they're all mint condition and nicely sealed in plastic.
The Warehouse has a few, but all unwrapped and most looking like they've been thrown around the store already. I know where I'll be buying from for sure!
My 2cents on the pricing is that the Warehouse are freaking Morons! I'm not going to complain about paying less, but I thought it was a pretty good deal at $138.
It's no wonder the economys screwed with stores driving down profit margins unnecessarily. People would've bought it anyway, or just waited until it wasn't a new release and got it on special then
EDIT: Now that I've had my rant, I've picked up my copy at the wonderfully cheap price of $109! Woohaa!!
And from the little bit that I watched in store I'm really looking forward to a viewing(not that my ancient Plasma is going to do it full justice).
Like Hads said "...I just know there will be some hardcore prop enthusiasts going over it with a fine tooth comb."
The clarity on shots of R2 is incredible for one example that's close to my heart.

I've also just purchased The Complete Saga from the warehouse for $110 still sealed in plastic, what a bargain! Cant wait to start watching the bonus discs as soon as the wife finishes watching the news on TV, wished it would hurry up

I didn't get time this morning, so I picked up my Saga set from JB Hi-Fi this afternoon. There was another person there walking around with one as well.
There was no sign of the Robot Chicken III DVD (only the Blu-ray version). When I asked I was told that there had been a manufacturing problem and they weren't sure when the DVD version would be available, but probably soon(ish).
I know it's not usually the shops who set the price. I deal with people in the book publishing industry and they set the "Recommended Retail Price" at 30% - 50% pure profit (sometimes more) ... and that's often on top of the profit the publisher is already making.
It's really the distributor who are the (most) greedy ones and set the local prices at ridiculous levels, especially with current exchange rates with the USA and UK. The recent All Black shirt fiasco is one recent obvious example, but that's by no means unique! Another example is the pricing Apple sets for it's Mac computers, but JB Hi-Fi often have them priced lower - closer to Apple's Education pricing. The distributor often enforces their "RRP" pricing within the contracts (basically by blackmail) and a shop who sells a product for less may well find they won't be able to get any more items / stock from that distributor.
This pre-setting of the price also means there's little actual competition out there, which is why prices are usually pretty much the same everywhere ... until one store decides to "break the rules", like The Warehouse did with these Blu-ray releases.

Its pretty obvious that the reason someone dropped their prices so low was to piss off other retailers, its Star Wars! Its gonna sell! When they have limited stock, why advertise it a price they cant maintain? Anyway enough of that...
Ive been going through the special features and Im loving the deleted scenes and the prop collections,I even found the complete animated adventure from the holiday special! THE holiday special! But I aint saying where!
Yeah some of the Robot Chicken 3 stock was delayed due to a malfunction at the production plant, its due in this week.
