Rabbit Trooper in Skinny Mobile advert

My scanner hasn't worked for years, but there was an advert for Skinny Mobile phones in yesterday's Weekend Herald (9 June, 2012, section A I think, but I'm not sure which page). The mascot in the corner was a someone dressed in Stormtrooper armour (splattered with Skinny Mobile's pink and green paint scheme) wearing a costume rabbit head and paws, and an eye patch ... very weird, and I have no idea what that has to do with mobile phones.

I'm not sure how to put this delicately but I would be worried about being shot in my thermal exhaust port if I went as a death star
