I've never met any of the subjects, I just used to work from photos and descriptions sent by the commissioners, but without fail would receive heart warming emails from the recipients when they were given them

It has been a long while since I did any customs. I sometimes get the urge to get back to it, but back in the days where it was an active hobby for me, only a small fraction of the characters that have since been released as figures existed, and there were far fewer resources for body parts etc - that was part of the attraction and challenge.

Anyway, in addition to the carded personalised figures on the last page, here are some old photos of some of my customs. Many are simple repaints, body-part swaps, or minor adjustments to limbs so that they can hold accessories differently. Some are simply random citizens made up of leftover pieces.

Oh i really like the battle droid who can hold his rifle in both hands, is that from combining a normal battle droid and the stap droid? or something else?

Based on the time that I would have done that one, probably just a standard EP1 Battle Droid. Their limbs lend themselves well to cutting with a scalpel and repositioning
