This is the third year for Hamilton Armageddon, and although it's much smaller than Auckland, I personally really like where it is heading. For starters, it gives us Aucklanders another fairly accessible event that is well spaced from the Auckland convention. Travel down to Waikato is getting a lot more streamlined with all the expressways and bypasses, so even commuting down is not too bad an option. I'm liking the Claudelands venue too...the configuration means you've basically got a loop hallway around the whole place, so there are no bottle-necks for foot traffic. The upstairs food court and seating/floor area is large enough to accommodate reasonable proportions of attendees, even at peak times. And this year round, we saw all the regular vendors, plus a couple of new brands, all together providing some pretty tempting shopping.
