Display shelf madness

Pics will come, once something pretty is worth photomographing.
Progress update: after spending much of two last two days in Greenlane Hospital (planned, mother in law cataract operation), little time has been spare. However, one complete shelf has been emptied, removed, and disassembled. Four new shelves are constructed, one is filled in the holding area.
I hope to get maybe two more shelves emptied today and one or two more new shelves built.
I am also considering getting some mirror tiles for the back of the shelves. The room already seems larger with one shelf less.
Sadly, removing items has highlighted the poor quality of some things on display, my 12" Ripley in Power Loader (from Hot Toys, no less) has lost a number of pneumatic pipes due to plastic lugs breaking, so I get the feeling I could have quite a lot of repair work coming from this project.

Okay, more progress today. Two shelves emptied and moved out, as predicted. Started moving the clones to the staging area.
Meanwhile considering options for mirror tiles on the back of the unit, could brighten things.
Hopefully this pic shows the clones jammed into their holding cells.

Do you have a solution in mind? I've just gone along to a local glass retailer in the past, with dimensions in hand, and they've cut custom mirror pieces to size for display cases for me. They seem pretty happy to do that sort of thing.

With the volume of space I am looking at for mirrors, some 64 pieces, I am thinking a mass produced thing would be more cost effective that custom cut glass. Used to have contacts at Pilkingtons but that was a long time back. I am hoping some building materials place has glass bathroom tiles that are close, doesn't have to be a perfect fit, top couple of inches won't be seen much. Mitre 10 do a 300x300 tile for $10. I am getting a quote from Sauvarins to see what it might be for better fit (actual holes are 390mm square but I figure a little smaller would be easier, say 385mm).
I may only mirror the top two rows or something, it is probably pointless doing the lowest shelves.

Can't argue with that sort of price, especially if you're looking for 60+.

What, no Buffy? Thats a pretty solid Clone collection there sir!

Actually LEDs would be a good idea. I do have some battery powered downlights I got at IKEA and some others with remote controls. The attraction of the mirrors is you get to see rear details as well. I don't want to print off some backdrops for some of them also, in which case mirrors would be useless. I might just start with 10 mirrors or so and see how it goes.

Update. Six shelf/cabinets have been removed, one more emptied but I need an assist to remove (son will do so tomorrow in return for gold class ticket to x-men,so selfless).
Pic attached shows the new cabinets in the holding area, now almost full (four, there is one sideways and one facing the other way on the far side. A fifth in another room is also full.
Two more shelves to empty, I need to build another cabinet or maybe two. I am flagging Armageddon Hamilton in the hope that I can get my desk out and the carpet up over the weekend so I can return to normal work on Monday.
It's going to be a pretty tough weekend I think. It feels very spacious in my office now.

Another progress update, floor sanded and coated in polyurethane, now the desk is back, and the first shelf. Those two other pieces of cardboard are shelf sized so I can play with the layout a little before it begins in earnest.
I reckon I took half a kilo of sawdust out of there from sanding.
