Are there any big clonewars collectors around?
I love the figures myself i think the less bulky characters are perfect and it was a shame they canceled it.
But i'm still collecting and hoping to complete a clone trooper collection at the least and i was wondering is anyone else still collecting/caring about this line?

Re: Clone wars collectors??
I personally was pretty selective in my collecting of Clone Wars figures. Probably have about a couple of dozen in total. Not because of any particular disinterest in the line at all, but partly because it coincided with a lot of competition for other figures and collectibles that just meant rationing and selectivity was necessary.
We do also have a few books, comics, and miscellaneous collectibles associated with the line (DK visual dictionaries and guidebooks like that tend to meet the must-purchase criteria for our library). I do very much like the 1:1 animated Kowakian Monkey Lizard we've got
I know that if you asked about/were referring to the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series, you'd get an excited response out of Anaria
We've picked up many pieces from that almost-forgotten series.

I still prefer it to the other, but, man, you're right that it's forgotten!MattG wrote:...from that almost-forgotten series.

Re: Clone wars collectors??
I still have the older clone wars stuff all of it, because i really like the time line.
When i re-watch some i re-watch all of it, But i don't really collect from that line because they are a bit overly deformed still a great art style but for collecting it doesn't fit as well with standard figures.
Even though clonewars figures were smaller and had less muscle mass (realistic imo) they still compare pretty well to everything besides the super beefy power of the force hehe, and the phase 2 clone troopers in the saga line, who look like body builders. (i imagine its only the shoulder pads beefing them up.)
I've only been collecting just under 2 years so i've only had like 10 figures from stores and most i didn't physically buy.
Though i'm really bummed i never got to see the clone-wars vehicles in store.

Re: Clone wars collectors??
I loved the show and enjoyed watching it with my kids. CW and its characters remains at the heart of their SW fandom. We picked up the figures selectively. I would continue to do so if they kept making them, though my preference is for realistic styled figures that I can display alongside my movie figures. I'm hoping Hasbro will continue to drip these out in the years to come.

Re: Clone wars collectors??
I don't notice much difference in most of them besides the smaller builds, though i've had a bunch of super battle droids from the clone wars for a while now their biggest problem is the round bodies which look better (imo) but stand up horrid because of the tiny legs.Reverend Strone wrote:I loved the show and enjoyed watching it with my kids. I see it might be possible to have some clone wars figures made in the style the upcoming rebels figures are made which i wouldn't like because i like to pose!
But the Saga style phase 2 clones don't have many personalities that stand out, i can point to my collection and say right that's cody you'll notice him that one is appo that one bly and those two look more like normal clone troopers (or commanders) as many as re-prints with slightly different paint, but in many cases the normal troopers in the clone wars are named and i think that adds an element to collecting them, if you can get all the guys from the 501st you've seen on CW that'll be quite a display (and many customs lol)
Though Fox and Rex done as realistic figures would be nice, Fox phase 2 has no clone wars shock troopers to lead, only the phase 1 troopers.. and the saga shock troopers only have Thrie?(sp) from a order 66 battle pack as their commander i believe.

Re: Clone wars collectors??
Right! i could use a hand if anyone else knows the series.
I think i am almost done with all the clone 'commanders' that hasbro released.
(p1/p2 phase 1/2 helmet)
I have ;
Cody, Rex, Fox - Both p1 and p2.
Woffle Phase 2 (missing p1)
P1 below.
Stone, Ponds, Gree, Thire, Jet and (Blackout on the way)
-- I know commander K-mart is missing (cody p1 repaint)
Does anyone see any gaps besides the arc troopers?
I only have havoc from the 4 released (two being colt i believe)
I am also still missing many of the 'named' troopers which is my next task, and filling in the missing jedi.
Koth, Ashoka(cw44) and barriss(sp)
If anyone else is a collector looking to fill holes or swap doubles let me know in thread or pm.
Thanks. ^_^

Does Cold Weather Rex (TCW50) meet your criteria?

I haven't really decided if i'll collect the cold weather stuff yet, I like the flame thrower troopers because of the flamethrowers they have (for the incinerators stormtroopers lol)

Figured there was a reasonable chance it was just an omission in posting.
Cool theme though, systematically collecting the clones. I hope we see pics as your army grows.
