Hey guys!!!

New to the forum, and got directed here by Bazzack :)
...I was lurking in the toy thread...

Been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid, and as of recently I started getting back in to it...with a vengence!!!

My first taste would of been ROTJ @ the movies, and then Caravan Of Courage also @ the movies! (I can't remember if I was just too young to understand and enjoy it...or if I hated it because it was hot trash. Tangy Fruits were off the hook!), and then ANH & TESB.

Meanwhile...I'm a Street Fighter fanatic! Games, Comics, Anime, Toys...and I go back to my Mum's looking for my old G.I.Joe - Street Fighter figures when I find a small collection of my brother's original Star Wars toys!!! A small metal die cast Slave 1 & Millennium Falcon, Vader with his cape missing and looking anorexic, 3PO but most of the gold has flaked off, and a Leia that I must have attacked with a vivid because I thought it was weird that my brother had a girls toy. hey...I was a kid...and most of the time I was stealing my brother's Star Wars gear, and trading it at school for Hot Wheels & C.O.P.S toys..

Time has moved on, and I'm older...but I'm a huge kid at heart, and still love toys, and while looking for Street Fighter stuff online, I stumbled across the new Black Series 6" figures!!!
After finding my brother's stuff, and then discovering these new 6" figures, I start searching online as to where I can find them...and now I'm here!!! :D

Man...I'm so hyped about Star Wars all over again!!!
Started watching all the films again...forced my partner to watch them...
(she's a bit younger than me, but a Big Bang Theory fan, so it wasn't too hard to convince her that there's a bunch of inside jokes that she wouldn't understand unless she watched the films. hehe)

So yeah...that's me! :D

Greetings, and welcome to our forums. :) Cool to hear that your passion has been re-kindled. There was some minor trepidation when the 6" series was announced...mainly that many collectors wouldn't want to start collecting in another scale and/or that this would otherwise split the market for action figures, but I have to admit, the sculpting is cool and they do seem to be finding their niche and audience.

Hi everyone...

My name is Ross and I'm new to the forum having just emigrated to NZ from Scotland with my wife and son.

Well first of all I collect vintage carded figures and boxed Star Wars toys, and I'm a member of the UK Vintage SW collector's forum

I own around 100 vintage carded figures and most of the ships/playsets boxed.

I have been collecting figures since 1981. I first saw Star Wars aged 4 when it was on tv in the UK. Since then I have loved it!!!

As I now live here, I hope to find an elusive Toltoys carded figure as these are pretty rare!!!!

Also collect autographs and have most of the SW main cast- apart from Liam Neeson and Ian McDiarmid!

Other passion is Seattle era Rock- love Pearl Jam!!!!

Anyway good to meet you all!!!

Hi Ross; welcome to our forums :)

Your vintage collection sounds great. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would be keen to see photos, if you want to post some in a thread here.

On the reply screen you can either embed the image from an online source using the Img button: {img}http://imagelocation.type{/Img} (except the braces will be replaced with code brackets.

Or you can scroll down past the purple bar under the reply area and attach a file from your computer: Click "Choose File" then scroll through your folders. and double click. The click "Add the File">

And welcome :)

MDB's reply above cover the two main options for embedding/attaching images. There are a few more details and instructions at these two links if you have any probs:
