Billy Dee Williams' recurring role in the NCIS show starts on New Zealand screens this week (12 February, 2013). This is the brief blurb from the TV Guide ...
NCIS (TV3, 8:30pm, Tuesdays)
Thirty years on from his career-defining role as Lando Calrissian in Return of the Jedi, actor Billy Dee Williams says he still gets people accusing him of betraying Han Solo. Hopefully that wasn't an issue for him when he joined the cast of NCIS, having picked up the new recurring role of Leroy Jethro Moore, a World War II veteran friend of Gibbs' father.
After this week's episode, you can also switch over to Prime and watch Harrison Ford in The Fugitive movie.
According to the TV Guide, Billy Dee Williams is turning up on another TV show this week ...
Star Wars icon Billy Dee Williams seems to be making a habit of this, with another guest spot on a popular TV3 show - just two months after his role on NCIS. This week he stars as himself, however, popping up in a game of Texas hold 'em poker with Jay (Ed O'Neill) on Modern Family (TV3, 7:30pm, Tuesday, 16 April).
Lando is really just a carbon(ited ) copy of Han ... the "baddie" who came good in the end. The only difference is that Han was originally interested only in himself, while Lando was supposedly trying to save the entire Cloud City.
