Whitcoulls have got the book "The Lost Journal of Indianna Jones" on the sales tables (3 for $20, or $7.99 each). It's a book made to look like the diary of Indiana Jones Jnr, full of notes, diagrams and newspaper clippings and momentos, covering the early years of the TV series through to the latest Crystal Skull movie.
I was looking through the bargain book table outside a local PaperPlus shop today (Sunnynook, Auckland) and saw the sequel novel for George Lucas' movie Willow. Might be worth checking your local branch if you're interested - I didn't buy it from Sunnynook.

You're kidding me, right? I could've bought five for the price I paid!
I's still totally worth it, but still.

Re: Indiana Jones book & Willow sequel novel
Sorry, I'm not joking. I picked up my copy of the Indiana Jones book the other day and there were still about six left at the Takapuna (Auckland) branch. I have looked through it a few times at Borders before, but decided it was too expensive there, so was really happy to find it much cheaper.
Maybe I should have bought them all for $40 and sold then the extras on TradeMe for $10 each ... that would have made my copy free and I would make a small profit to cover the petrol.
(Assuming they would all sell, which apparently they aren't otherwise Whitcoulls wouldn't have them on the bargain table in the first place).

Re: Indiana Jones book & Willow sequel novel
Possibly more bad news: yesterday I saw the Indiana Jones Journal book on a Whitcoulls $3 table ... but I'm not sure if someone simply put it down there by mistake.
In Whitcoulls I also saw the paperback combining all three original Indy movie novels in one volume. It was priced at only $10. I already bought that a while back (can't remeber how much for, but was cheaper than normal).

If you're looking to buy the Indiana Jones Trilogy novels book, then be a bit careful. Yesterday I saw the bok in the Whitcoulls Clearance shop priced at $10, but when I walked down to the proper Whitcoulls branch it was priced at $8.

Re: Indiana Jones book & Willow sequel novel
I've started reading through the Indiana Jones Journal book and found a couple of mistakes that makes it seem a bit rushed:

- On the page about Scout badges, the last one is the Eagle Scout badge - the description says "This is an eagle's head...", but the image shows an entire flying eagle.
- Date typo: A few pages later there's a bit about young Indy being captured by Pancho Villa in New Mexico and the "note" attached by the Russian spies who stole the Journal gives a date of "March 9, 1906" ... but the Journal wasn't started until 1908 (just before the Young Indiana Jones TV series) and in 1906 he would have been very young. The date should have been 1916.
