The organisers of the Armageddon Expos have a few expos coming up over the first few months of 2013, although at least two have no Star Wars connection.

I think the growing number of conventions, and these franchise/fandom-specific conventions in particular, are a good thing.

I'm not sure about that Doctor Who one though - if they included Christopher Eccelstone they'd have the Top 5 Worst Doctors all in one place.
