Wish me luck

Post by PitYak Studios »

In two hours time I go for an interview for a victorian loom operator's position in a working weaving shed that uses 19th century looms, the only six of their type working in the world. I will even have to wear victorian costume to work, as the places doubles as a living museum sort of thing.

I am quite frankly s***ing myself, although provided there is noone else with a bachelor of science with honours in textiles, several years industry experience and a passion for victorian machinery I should be in with a chance.

My only problem is how to get to the interview. The public transport around here only goes forward in time.

No Stansborough at Petone. I have to say it went rather well, I was there two hours, and had to make my excuses and leave eventually, they wanted me to stay for lunch, and presumably start work there and then. When I left the boss / dad (family firm with mam, dad, daughter and two employees) said I would be definately seeing them again soon.

I'll be the one that looks like this;

(being a confident sort of chap I knocked the costume up first. One of the questions I was asked was "would you have a problem wearing victorian costume on open days?" :D )
