If George Lucas was just getting ready to cast Star Wars now instead of 1970's who do you think he would cast in the main roles??

I'm having trouble doing it myself the only one I could think of was Bradley Cooper playing Han.

If George Lucas was making Star Wars now instead of 1970s, then he would just use CGI characters ... but, if he hadn't made Star Wars in the 1970s then a lot of the movie making technology might not be at the stage it is now since he and his crew created much of it as they went along.

I can sum up CGI Characters in one word....CR*P haha but I just meant if he was making excatly the same script in excatly the same way.

I can't think of many actors around at the moment who could even come close to the original actors??

George Clooney as Ben Kenobi??

Miley Cyrus as Princess Leia??

Ben has to be British though doesn't he haha and I know as a young chap myself during SW's first run that Princess Leia has to have the 'fantasy' factor and Miley falls along way short in that department.....Mila Kunis on the other hand would make a fantastic Leia (in my opinion of coarse )

I don't think Ben has to be a British actor (George Lucas wanted some with "presence"), but maybe Patrick Stewart then.

You mean you don't want Leia saying "Sweet nibblets" and other Miley-isms / southern US sayings??

Mila Kunis is probably too old now since Luke and Leia are in their late teens in Episode IV. Of course, now that we know Luke and Leia are twins, it would probably be better if the two actors looked somewhat similar (not necessarily identical).

Patrick Stewart would do a great job as Ben but being a Trekkie takes him out of the running hahaha.

• Leonard Nimoy as Yoda
• The Borg Queen actress as Aurra Sing
• Michael Dorn (Worf) as Chewie

I thought this was slightly related and relevant...a poster made using the faces of some of the actors/actresses who also auditioned, or were otherwise considered, for the key OT roles - Kurt Russell (Han Solo), Cindy Williams (Princess Leia) Robby Benson (Luke Skywalker), and Toshiro Mifune (Obi-Wan).
