Nice work Dan, that's very cool.
Interesting to see the re-release, I have an earlier edition from 2005 (with different cover). I imagine it has been done to piggy back off of ep VII. I do wonder what insights the extra 16 pages hold, maybe the meaning of the word "Ultimate" added to the titleArchon Revuge wrote:Along with Star Wars, my other big passion in life is philosophy
Hey Eng. This version is by a different publisher - so the content is all new (Both Open Court and Blackwell run a "Popular Culture and Philosophy" series, and there can sometimes be confusing double-ups like this for more popular franchises.) Our mandate was a little different too. While the older volume focused almost exclusively on the films, we were given free-reign to pull on any material from the wider EU (and that was a lot of fun!)Eng76 wrote:Interesting to see the re-release, I have an earlier edition from 2005 (with different cover). That is awesome, Dan!Archon Revuge wrote:Along with Star Wars, my other big passion in life is philosophy - and I recently had the chance to combine these two by contributing a chapter to Blackwell's The Ultimate Star Wars and Philosophy. The book brings together a number of philosophers (and, in my case, philosophers-to-be) exploring different philosophical topics by using examples from the Star Wars universe. I'm not sure when we'll see it in brick-and-mortar retailers - but as of today, it's available for purchase from both Mighty Ape and Book Depository.

My congratulations to you on that!
