I have been asked by another local trooper to take part in our Whanganui Christmas Parade. Pretty small troop - just two troopers, but it'll be fun.
Anyway, just thought I would ask if there has been any adverse comments about trooping with blasters, especially in light of the appalling tragedy on 15 March. Is anyone aware of criticism along these lines?
If there are objections, I would simply make one of those long prods that the dewback sandtroopers carried, but thought I'd get some feedback and opinions from you guys first.
Regards, Phil

Re: Query - trooping with blasters?
The local 501st has been going blaster-free this year, particularly at large, open events like the recent Auckland Armageddon. The more open the event (i.e., outdoors vs controlled indoors), the more I'd be likely to follow that precedent for now.

Thanks for that, Matt. We're now up to three troopers and a Fett repurposed into a Mandalorian. I think I might give the parade organisers a call, just to be fully transparent and up front.
