Re: Star Wars Hot Wheels Starships
After surgery on the box and sourcing a few parts for the stand I've released the ship to display with the rest of the collection.

Spare HW Plastic Display Stands
Nice X-Wing KIWI HW. Got me thinking to modify a spare X-wing to see if I can get the same Dagobah effect.
Does anyone know a source of spare plastic display stands, either the finger or disc variety? I've been sourcing a few Star Wars HW's from flea markets but alas, without stands. Had a quick search on God Google but to no avail.
Cheers for any leads.....

Re: Star Wars Hot Wheels Starships
I might have a few spare ones ya can have from doubles I have.
I hope to use a plain stand once I've sorted what display design I go with but keep the originals in storage.
Here's a couple of pics of first design thoughts but have had a change of heart and plan to use fibre glass.
Note: black stands are 3mm Bamboo skewers painted black with black electrical tape wound at top for tight fit.
I have got some acrylic 4mm rod I could light up but still undecided.

WOW! I am so liking what you have done in the long black cabinet (and black stands). Very Empire! Cold and stark but displays the vehicles so well. Great paint job to.
Thanks for the offer of the stands but after seeing your pictures, you have my mind racing to what I can achieve. Having a mish-mash of different plastic stands looks a little messy now.
Thanks so much for sharing your display with us.

Thanks Cloneone
I was never a fan of the chunky stands.
The black plywood display was my first muck around, afterwards I was keen on a black gloss floor and had thoughts of side windows drawing in eyes to a front view. I have a new design in mind and will post once I've finished the molds..
Here's a couple of test pics looking at black gloss with a backing colour and 4mm acrylic rod.

Found this pic online of the Bad Batch Shuttle coming in the next wave, looks mean as, can't wait to add this shuttle to the collection.
I've still yet to order the hover pram as its just come out but will post pics once I receive.

A Bad Batch vehicle is an interesting addition.
You updated displays look cool Kiwi. I used acrylic rod on my old Micro Machines displays... it's a nice clean look.

Re: Star Wars Hot Wheels Starships
With postage taking a while I'm a little late with putting any photos up but I thought I'd take a few anyways and size comparison shots with other ships.
Looking forward to Bad Batch Shuttle release.

2021 wave 2 has the rare delta 7 jedi starfighter that was only available in a twin pack.
The new release has a gloss black canopy and a faction decal.
