I'm new to this forum, but not new to Star Wars collecting - especially collecting Star Wars autographs. I had a huge break from it for a long while but now I'm about to get back into it [yup, I blame the new movies].
.
To give you an idea of what I used to collect, here are a some links to a few YouTube videos that display my old Star Wars autograph card collection [the cards are custom made from Denmark]. 122 cards in total, signed by many of our Star Wars favourites. Most of the collection was obtained through the mail but of course there were a few of the harder to get signatures that I had to pay for.

Some of the signers: Everyone from Mark Hamill to Carrie Fisher, from Frank Oz to James Earl Jones, from Anthony Daniels to Kenny Baker, from Peter Mayhew to Christopher Lee, etc, etc - you get the picture, I'll stop blabbing on about them now, the links are below, enjoy!

That's an impressive collection.

You mentioned you got most via mail... did you get many at conventions/in person?

Unfortunately [though fortunately most of the time], I'm in Australia and when I was collecting those, we never seemed to have big conventions / events that attracted big Star Wars names, where I could go and get the cards signed in person. I had to rely on friends in the US and some pay services that conducted their own signings with the big names. Not complaining though, it was amazing fun getting the mail every day, finding little packages of joy. In full swing [during some good months], I would have been getting around four or five signatures in the mail per week. Can't complain about that.
