Hey y'all, if you've been keeping track of this thread, then you'll know that the Ballance Street Toyworld in Wellington will be holding a special "Force Friday" release event for the line of new The Force Awakens toys at 12.01am on Friday 4th September.

Reverend Strone has made the excellent suggestion that we try and arrange a Wretched Hive meet-up for the following Saturday (5th September) to compare notes on our hauls. We'll most likely make this at 5pm, and at our usual location (PM me for the place if this'll be your first-time heading along). Who else is keen?

Also, there'll no doubt be a few people wanting to catch up before the midnight event as well. I won't be able to make that meet-up, but I'm happy to help coordinate. Just let me know below if you're interested!

Hey badges, I'm not too sure yet. No-one's said much about their plans beforehand. I've got a few other things on earlier that evening, so will likely be turning up just a short while before the opening. If the 501st are making an appearance, I imagine they'll be there a bit earlier.

What's everyone else's plans?

I'm waiting to get some more information on what the various retailers are doing before I make my plans. So far they've mostly all been very quiet, so I am assuming there is still an embargo in place on announcing much of anything, or else plans are still very much in motion. Keen for some kind of catch-up with everyone either before the big night or on the Saturday afterwards to share experiences. I guess until we know more it's hard to plan those meetups with much certainty. I really thought we'd know more by now. If it weren't for the leaks, we wouldn't even know what the product was yet. It's a strange stare down Disney is having with SW fans right now.
