Hey guys n gals, just sharing the start of my Bandai Star Wars collection...

1/12 Scale C-3PO
1/48 AT-ST Scout Walker
1/12 Scale R2-D2 - R5-D4 Droids
1/72 Tie Fighter x2
1/72 X-Wing
1/72 Tie Advanced
1/48 X-Wing Moving Edition



The detail on these kits are amazing, even more so than the Finemolds versions, so I am really looking forward to the next few releases.

I wanna size up the Bandai droids to my Kotobukiya figures and see if there's need for some touch ups.

Kotobukiya R2 and 3PO with Saber chopsticks...



They look around the same size... there's a couple of differences in the 3PO details... the Kotobukiya C-3PO belly insides are pre-painted raised detailed parts, where as although the Bandai kit also has raised parts in the same area, they're not pre-painted and the only options are to use the supplied sticker, or paint in the details yourself... however, with the Bandai 3PO kit, you get two chest plates... one with dented detail... one straight.

Both those lines have some really nice product. Your group photos look great, and I find it interesting to see the Bandai 1/12 scale stuff compared against others in that scale. Curious that they expect you to put a sticker over a textured abdo component though.

Have you seen the Koto Snowtrooper yet?

Great pictures of an enviable collection. The sabers, lit up like that, really photograph well, don't they?

I reckon Threepio looks best in separate parts!

Thanks for your comment, Yes both Finemolds and Bandai have some great products, and are in my opinion the closest so far in Star Wars model kitsets for detail and accuracy.

The photos are from my LG phone hence the questionable quality. I thought I'd point out some comparisons of the details in-case there are curious minds... very strange to include the sticker for that "abdo" part instead of a pre-painted piece, I may paint the detail on since it's separate and easy accessible on the sprue.

OOOO yes, Snowtrooper looks very cool... once I replenish my model cash card back to shopping spree standards, Imma grab one... maybe two... I hope to collect all the Kotobukiya Star Wars lineup.

Thank you, I'm excited about this collection, the Bandai Star Wars lineup looks to be moving in the right direction, both experienced and new modelers will welcome the lineup due to their practical easy construction and no need for glue application.

The sabers photograph really well (after a dozen or so shots on my phone), I used the red ones at my local sushi bar... the looks I got were a mix of "what a geek!" "wow that looks cool".

Time to pull out the real camera to take some decent (blurry) shots.

Yes it is, there are a couple of unsealed boxes that were already opened by the previous owners (the one's I bought off eBay), all the parts are present and undamaged, I think they commented that the box was opened merely to check if all the parts were there?... in a factory shipped sealed box?... yeah... oookay then... they did however use some plastic wrap (glad-wrap or sandwhich wrap) and tape to reseal the box.

EDIT: BTW, for those that don't own display cases... you guys use dusters to dust off your models/figures? any recommendation for a good duster that actually picks up and removes dust.

I used a feather one once... but it was hopeless... it just move it from point A to point B.
