Looking for a silver lining, he was apprently bitten by a Millenium Falcon, maybe more confirmation of the return of another "character"

Apparently he hurt his ankle ... so it's just the usual massive over-hyping by the news media.

It does sound like a fracture that is going to require surgery and internal fixation.

The
Canvas Magazine section of yesterday's NZ Herald (19 July, 2014) had an article about accidents that have happened on film sets, including starting with a brief bit about Harrison Ford's accident and a small photo of him holding a sign saying "Can do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs. Can't use a door."
The articles talks about quite a few on-set accidents, including:
- Jennifer Lawrence "almost choked to death" during the filming of the third Hunger Games movie due to a malfunctioning fog machine.
- Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double in Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows was paralysed after being thrown into a wall.
- Wicked Witch actress Margaret Hamilton was badly burned during the filming of The Wizard of Oz and her stunt double was injured by a msoking broomstick
