I spent some of today sorting through various piles of paper Star Wars collectibles, including a few 'Revenge of the Jedi' pieces from early 1983. Thought I'd better photograph a few of them up for posterity.

This is a 20-page 'Revenge of the Jedi' supplement to the Yuma Daily Star newspaper. As most will know, Yuma, Arizona was where the ROTJ Sail Barge scenes were filled.

This newspaper supplement, from May 2nd 1982, contains all sorts of great behind the scenes articles and photos, as well as some seriously retro advertisements (many trying to incorporate a Star Wars theme...whether it makes sense or not). I'll get a bunch more material imaged from this shortly.

Very cool. Nice to go look back and look at the way thing were! It's quite good to finds things you may have forgotten about.

You might notice the reference to ROTJ Micro Collection sets, which never eventuated.

Things to note in that last article...fans hanging around just checking the set out...and the city of Yuma was offered the barge set but turned it down.

I certainly would have made the pilgrimage to check it out at some point. I've got some more behind-the-scenes pics from that newspaper supplement that I'll get sorted shortly.
