Following on from our previous costuming events, plans are coming together for a July installment of the 2013 Costuming Workshop and Social Meet-Up series. This will be a bit of a start of the countdown to Auckland Armageddon in October.
The next scheduled date will be at our place (Birkenhead) on Saturday 13th July. If you're interested in costuming and keen to come along, send me a message. The emphasis is on Rebel/Good Guy costumes, but we won't turn you away if you have other Star Wars projects you want to get involved with. It will be an all day event to make it worthwhile attending for current or prospective members who are from other regions - starting from 10:30am, and running through to about 5:30pm.
If you want to get advice about any costumes, help others with their costume projects, make progress on your own projects, or just swap ideas and discuss Good Guy costuming in general, this will be a great opportunity. We'll have on hand examples of Rebel Pilots, Clones, Royalty costumes, Jedi, and more.

Mat and I are both keen to make it along for this one.
Random thought, but does anyone know how to do body casting? I was thinking I wouldn't mind getting a head cast done of myself, but not too sure how to start. I was thinking if there's a group of us that would like to learn and someone that can show us, maybe we could look at it for a future workshop day?

A few mates of mine do a lot of head casting for shows like Spartacus, legend of the seeker, evil dead etc etc. I could ask one of them if you like see if they were interested in doing a workshop! Lets talk at Matt and Kristy's

I would like to have this done as well, but it would be difficult for me to send my head up from Otaki

I'll be there. I have most of the parts for my X-Wing Pilot now so I am close to having that all sorted.
