Ah, this explains Empire's lacklustre covers: the images are available to any publication (including mine).

Interesting. I just ran it through a couple of song-recognition apps (which are usually pretty good at picking movie/game scores) and got no hits - so whatever it is, there's a good chance it's an original piece. I share your scepticism that this is from the legitimate Force Awakens score though. It just doesn't quite fit with Williams's usual style.Reverend Strone wrote:Is this for real? Supposedly it is music from the new film.

I like it, but it doesn't sound like Williams to me. It’s possible someone is trolling us and it is from a video game or something. Whatever it is, it’s nice, but it is somewhat singular in tone all the way through. Movie scores typically have more variety than this, and especially Williams scores. I'm suspicious. It sounds 'synthie' rather than orchestral to me, but I could be totally wrong there.
Which would also explain why the Empire covers are wrong, with the person who built the rest of the image for the fold-out cover using the wrong Falcon, wrong troopers.. Kinda lame really.Harvey Mushman wrote:Ah, this explains Empire's lacklustre covers: the images are available to any publication (including mine).
Interesting. I'd say it is likely to be an oversight. The Hot Toys figure for the gunner does have the mic tip:MattG wrote:Was looking at the store display at Farmers today, which had 3 life-sized TFA troopers on it (standard, officer, and heavy weapons), and I noticed that this guy, the heavy weapons trooper, has a variant helmet without any "mic tip". The helmet looks otherwise identical. Don't know if that's been evident in other material.
To be fair, most people would never have known, nor cared.Armante wrote:Which would also explain why the Empire covers are wrong, with the person who built the rest of the image for the fold-out cover using the wrong Falcon, wrong troopers.. Kinda lame really.
