This is cool. Wonder if it heralds something bigger for next week.

Because it's come through the StarWars.com instagram account, this clip doesn't seem to be hi-res, but here are some stills from the new shots...

Love it! I'm thinking this may bode well for a teaser trailer on Force Friday? Would be cruel to give fans 15 seconds then nothing for weeks.

IMDB lists our release date as Thursday, December 17, which is what I had heard from my friends at the cinema down the road from us. Anyone else heard differently?

We're expecting a new trailer within the next 24 hours too, right? I seem to recall that was what JJ or Disney had intimated prior to the D23 Expo when folks were expecting to see new footage there?

That date is a mistake - the NZ-specific trailer we saw in Imax confirmed the Dec 17th date (as films typically debut here on Thursdays, compared to Friday overseas).

It would make sense to release a trailer to tie in with Force Friday and all the hype - it is technically 'Fall' now in the US, which is the only vague date given so far.
