Got it locally - they'll be here in the usual stores, at an RRP of $299.fredstar wrote:...Matt, was your AT-AT purchased here or over seas?...

Yeah, that's a really cruel thing about bulk releases like this one from Hasbro!fredstar wrote:...Still so many I wanted to get but had to walk away

Great lot there! I'm so keen to get the Jabba
It's great to see a big new wave of figures around here again, our local stores have been quite stale the past few months.

Oh yeah, I definitely want him on display. Will need to re-arange my current Jabba diorama for this one.MattG wrote:Open the Jabba!!fredstar wrote:Just hit Botany Downs Farmers and came away with the following...

Re: Haul Thread
Snagged Jabba yesterday from Farmers in Kilbirnie, Wellington. Fortunately with that 20% off all toys that's running at Farmers till Monday 2nd he was only $64. I am thrilled with it. It's a fabulous set and long awaited.

Here's a certain grinning idiot toy collector and his daughter admiring their new purchase.

Opened box...

Opened and set up, looking fabulous:

As much as having the dais is great, I still like my custom version better, and I'm not keen on the awkward pose that Crumb is stuck in, so here is Jabba chilling on my custom dais instead, with the older Crumb that came with the first Oola all those years ago.

Though his colours are a little stronger, the sculpt really compares very well to the superb Sideshow version. It's undeniably the best Jabba at this scale in my opinion anyhow. Here is is hanging out with his big brother from Sideshow...

...and his little Galactic Heroes buddy.

Oola is superb. She is super articulated and the design of her soft goods outfit is really intricate. They've gone to great effort with this figure - amazing considering she's a pack-in!

As a customiser, I immediately appreciate the benefits of this sculpt - she's basically a perfect naked female SA figure, an ideal base upon which to create all kinds of cool female figures in future. She'd make a fantastic starting point for a Tonnika custom, which is what I plan to do if I can snag a second or third Oola.
So, for anyone wondering, here are some shots of her sans soft goods. Warning: toy nudity follows...

Re: Haul Thread
Nice pics Daniel. And yeah, I do prefer your custom dais...Hasbro could have gone just a little further to make theirs a little less boxy without increasing production costs.
I've just recently got my hands on one of the Comic Con 2010 Jumbo vintage stormtroopers from Gentle Giant (many thanks to Daniel for the assist with the hook-up). It's freakin' cool in person...a great homage to the original.
Here are a couple of pics of it next to my original carded ESB trooper, and the 12" Kenner figure from the 70s.

Re: Haul Thread
Great pictures buddy. I'm surprised by how good the 70s 12 inch figure looks. It was pleasure to help you out Matt. I'm glad the stormtrooper got to you so quickly. It's impressive in person isn't it!?
Thanks re the dais. I just wish I had space to build the full diorama. Hopefully by this time next year it will finally be built, once we get our place extended. I envy your collection rooms!
