Being on a dial-up connection I can't watch the link above, but I hope there was another different / longer one because the item that was played on the 6:00pm News was rather pathetic ... definitely NOT because of Juliet (who looked like she had a great time and did very well in the brief bits we saw of her). It was thanks to the morons at TV3 who "edited" it down to about 2 minutes. The amount of time and money wasted for that measley 2 minutes makes you wonder why they bothered at all. :(

They should play a proper, longer version on channel Four's Sticky TV after school kids show, except that Sticky TV still isn't back on-screen even though the kids are back at school.

Juliet was in the TV3 studio with Kate Rodger during the week to assist with the editing, selection of clips, and voice-over recording. The ultimate goal was always going to be an approx 2-minute promotional piece (the above clip is 3 minutes). The budget yielded a lot of other promotional opportunities for EP1 which Fox and TV3 have made use of. If they had gone with StickyTV or similar, the junior reporter would have been someone directly or previously involved in that show (which is how other junior reporters at The Ranch were selected) rather than a competition-selected fan.
