I'm back to F2P but if a dedicated ate/time I'll log in to Tykhi (SI) or Emdibi (Merc) more often; both low 50s though due to difficulty of gaining XP on F2P so I may have to start being ruthless with mobs again!

Hey MDB - if you're looking for help to bridge the gap up to lvl 55, do keep an eye out for 'Toombs' or 'Dredd', or Kristy's 'Banshila'...we're more than happy to grind for credits and comms, and with the recent-ish reset of the gear purchase prices, you can buy some decent components with just Basic or Elite Comms.

Does anyone still play this game? Any good? Just installed it. Looks a lot like Knights of the Old Republic. What is the best server to play on from NZ? RP, PVE? Is there a guide to level up fast, get good gear etc?

Yup, still playing on a regular basis, including 16-man operations twice a week (with other kiwi players).

Harbinger is the server with the most NZ/Aus players.

Dulfy.net has the most accessible guides to various stuff like gear, levelling, flashpoints etc.

When you get an account set up, let us know your character names, and feel free to sing out in game if you see any SWNZ members online if you need a hand with any group activities.

My current character list, all on The Harbinger is...
Imperial: Toombs, Dredd, Toal, Zhylaw, Rhaksus, Varrkon, Mat'ak
Republic: Hadron, Xel'el, Baylock, Irgunn

I am currently stuck because there is a mission that requires platform hopping and that's just a nope. That said I have some lovely screencaps from that mission as I took Skadge (my Big Ugly Monster) and he was wearing his "don't even think about it" expression.

I have to admit while watching Frozen I was thinking: No, Anna, don't Aggro the Gold. Okay jumping off the cliff, yeah saves armour costs. Oh wait, the snow monster wasn't a gold it was a Champion, 8 man op?

Is it something a Sorceror could help with by pulling/extracting?

Thanks for the help guys. I'm just setting up my character and about to check out Dulfy.net before I play the game. Will let you know once I'm ready to begin. Are you guys just playing the free version or is there a paid version? If there is, is it better to be on the paid version?

Am on a subscription, which I highly recommend at some point. If you do think you'll subscribe at any point, click through on the following link (existing subscribers get some bonuses for such referrals): http://www.swtor.com/r/GdZzQd

There is also a middle ground - "preferred" status, which you get by purchasing some in-game unlocks/items etc, or if you've had a subscription but revert to non-subscriber status.

Here is a list of the differences between the statuses (hover over the "dots" for more info in each case): http://www.swtor.com/free/features

PS: the official forums have a lot of noise, but there are some sections that are quite useful to peruse from time to time, such as "New Player Help", "Crew Skills", "Classes" etc.

Have been playing this game a bit over the last few days. Highly addictive. Reminds me a lot of Knights of the Old Republic (might buy 1 & 2 just to keep in the collection). Contemplating upgrading to a subscriber. Is it worth the upgrade? The free versions seems fine so far. I'm only on level 8 though. Thoughts? Which subscriber options did you guys go with? Do you guys also buy cartel coins? How about the bundles like the new beginner bundle? Worth getting?
