Re: Introductions
Welcome Marc. Good to have another longstanding vintage collector on board; and yes, I second Bazzack's call for pics - we'd be very interested to see you collection!

Re: Introductions
Just dropping in to introduce myself. Pera is my name and I've been lurking around the SWNZ forums for a while. Some of you will know me from Outpost 42 (TC-8907), or have probably seen me at Armageddon trooping in my Sandtrooper or ARC trooper costumes. I used to be really into collecting the toys, and have boxes and boxes of stuff stored away. Stopped collecting when I got into the 501st side of things. The action figures seemed a bit boring once I had my hands on the full sized replicas

Re: Introductions
G'day from Australia!!
Hey there guys...my name is Glenn.
Have been a fan of Star Wars for what seems a lifetime....wellsince i was 4...im now 36.lol.
my first recollection of collecting was when i had my tonsils out when i was 4 and mum and dad felt that to keep me from getting too upset when they left me overnight was to give me ANH Leia,X Wing Luke and Han Solo....the Cantina creatures soon followed and 30 yrs later they are buying me the Lars Homestead...LOL.
I recall seeing TESB at a Hoyts cinema in George St,Sydney....massive lineups,it was at night and there was a bombscare..so had to evecauate and then go rewatch once it was declared safe.LOL.
Amazing the things you recall from being a child...but if it is Star Wars then you guys can all understand
Well...onto collecting....i collect Hasbro and the Kenner 3 3/4 figures...i recently sold off my Gentle giant collection.im a HUGE Sideshow 12inch collector and currently have over 55 figures with more on the way.I also like the movie poster and convention posters...have amassed a lot of Autographed pics and was lucky enough to go to Celebration 3 and 4 in the US.
It is true what they say...Star Wars is FOREVER.
Cheers
Glenn

Re: Introductions
thanks guys.I appreciate the welcome.
I look forward to getting some pics up sometime during the week of some of my stuff-bit hard with a 14 month old but yeah..will try.
Also looking forward to looking at pics of others collections...another awesome part of SW collecting is the diversity in everyones collections...whether it be lego, hasbro, sideshow,GG or Kenner...it is ALL pretty awesome.

Re: Introductions
Hi to all - Steve here aka Snibo1.
It all started (like many) going to see this new movie at the Cambridge Picture Theater back in 1977 called Star Wars, not too sure what it was about but I had seen photos, my sister had the paper back so it seemed like a good thing to go and see - and the rest is history!!
Have a larege collection of SW Gear since I have been collecting since 1977 - but could not really afford much untill the last 30 odd years, but even then had to have the odd break, ie kids, mortage etc. Have everthing from a KFC bucket from the 90's re-release of ESB to having the the Fett family tattoos on my arm and leg.
Have my own Man Cave where some of my collection is as well as my models, and am a Member of the Waikato Scale Model Club. Have been modelling longer than SW has been around, mostly millitery, but have Aliens and of course SW. I make them as they come in kit form but in recent years I have been getting into Scratch Building SW Vehicles which I enjoy a great deal. Scratch building is the old school kit bashing ILM used in days gone by (and still do to a lesser extent). Being a modeller you can see bits of Tank, Plane, Battle Ship kits used by the modellers on the different SW ships - but thats sooo cool!
My aim is to try and get a full Troopr Out Fit and be part of the 501st - Snow, Storm, Scout - dosent matter.
Cheers
