Sure did! - I love that it's included (am a big fan of that vehicle, as some [url=http://swnz.dr-maul.com/forums/viewtopi ... t=1345will have seen[/url]). I can't wait for the Hasbro vehicle to show up, although unfortunately the pics out there so far suggest it is quite under-scaled compared to the vintage Kenner version.Anchorhead-Autos wrote:Ha yeah and did you notice the Imperial Troop Transport finally made an onscreen appearance the other day?

Cool episode last night but is that the last of them for a while? All the next episodes sound like repeats already!

The next/latest episode (Path of the Jedi) has already screened in the US via their DisneyXD subscription service, and is expected on the US Disney channel proper on Jan 5th. Hopefully SkyTV's Disney XD will have it soon after that.

Re: 'Star Wars Rebels' animated series
yup saw it too. I like how the toy developed by kenner influenced by the OT has in turn influenced Rebels. The circle is now complete (or something)Anchorhead-Autos wrote:Ha yeah and did you notice the Imperial Troop Transport finally made an onscreen appearance the other day?

Re: 'Star Wars Rebels' animated series
SkyTV still seems to be showing/repeating older, 2014 episodes, and haven't scheduled any of the 2015 episodes that have screened in the US. Haven't seen any further movement from the free-to-air channels.

Re: 'Star Wars Rebels' animated series
I've seen all the released episodes so far, i'll give it a short review trying to avoid spoilers.
First off, its a decent show Disney hasn't lost the edge of being able to make a half decent animation it looks good, it looks close to a new hope in terms of effects but it manages to introduce a couple of new characters for a fresh take on the imperial lock down of the galaxy.
When these stories get going they have been as equal caliber as the clone wars or better but the series does have a couple of problems i hope it can get over as seasons go on.
Just before i start pointing out what i feel are mistakes i must also point out most other series take time to get rolling even my favorite series babylon 5 which was laying ground work in season 1 was very slow to start.
So here are a couple of problems i see the show has to get over before it can grow better.
Cameo's ; thus far the ones that have been in the show and i wont mention have been luke warm copies without much of their character and leaves the feeling that its just "look this is starwars because this person is here"
Character building; There seems to be a lack of real feeling characters so far, some of the characters seem to have something there that will be drawn out over time but other characters seem hollow arc-types - and some of the conflicts between characters are almost exact copies from the how-to make characters interact in a cartoon book (if such a one existed)
The Story thus far ; It's been alright but its also an undertone to the every week hijinks of the characters each story focused episode takes us right into the universe we want to be and reversly the 'chit-chat' hijinks episodes are alright but not great.. mainly because we haven't got to know these people yet.
I think a more story driven first series leading into a second with more chit-chat firefly character stories would've been a better benefit (though i don't know what season two has planned, it could be epic.)
Style ; I have two major problems with the way the anime is done.
You might not really consider them a style problem but i'm not sure how else i'd put them.
1. Sabine - her armor it really annoys me, We've seen female mandalorians in full body armor before why does she need the "chicks wear less, its sexy" in a cartoon aimed at mostly kids? - and considering her work you'd think she would want a full suit.
2. Zeb - He feels like a token alien.. an almost replacement chewie and characters shouldn't be replacements or fill ins, his back story really needs some work.
Other ;
Kanan and Sabine wear pretty "armory looking" outfits but don't stand out among crowds of people even Zeb who is a rare find of an alien doesn't seem to stand out much i mean even 'the last airbender' realized that they would need to dress differently going into enemy areas but rebels doesn't seem to grasp much about rebellion.
There are also the pauses during major events when everyone stands around while being under attack, so the characters can all "react" but its nothing like real life which has everyone in a panic with no time to prepare, and the mistakes made by professional people under pressure despite having done these tasks thousands of times is very human, but it seems missing.
And my final issue would be chopper.
I feel he is.. useless a clear because we needed a droid and serves no real purpose.
---
All up its a decent show its worth watching but i don't see much of a draw for people who haven't seen starwars no matter how small those people are.
But it does need some real work to get better less cameo's for the sake of cameo's and more story and character.
The clone wars wasn't perfect and there were many parts of it i didn't like the whole droids episodes i felt were really boring and i can't stand watching them again, but i also realize it took time for the show to get started and even going into season 6 and 7 the show still had problems with story telling like being too focused on the main characters we know so much about already (Though it helps fill out skywalker's mistrust of the jedi)
It would've been great to have seen other people in this time period suffering and muddling through, Something i hope a season 3 or 4 of rebels may bring us.
I will be fine if no other major "star's" from the films turn up (leia/han/luke/chewie/r2/3po/lando) and they used other characters like wedge, Garm Bel Iblis and other under exposed rebels since the new series is killing the EU.
I'd also love to avoid seeing Vader often or Tarkin for a while, i understand the former will have screen time because he is so popular but from a story point i would like him to either have a complete focus on why he is busy (jedi killing) or very little of him because he is busy doing that.
I assume everyone who likes star-wars will watch it anyway and i wouldn't want to stop people from watching it, in-fact hopefully more viewers gets a desired result of more funding to flesh out great long story lines.
But there is also a worry that it will become one of the 1980's toy ads turned cartoons. (even though we loved them they were still corny and could've been better)
*Edit*(If you have trouble finding where to watch them just send me a pm and i'll link what i use)
