Very strange (and disappointing) there's no series link...I just did them all manually instead

Yeah it's annoying when you can't series link certain shows. Seems to happen about 10 - 20% of shows that I'm interested in... only a bit over 24hrs to go yay!

We've managed to get some screenings to series-link (e.g., Sat 9:30am and 4:30pm).

The full schedule is up on the Sky TV Guide now (finally): http://www.skytv.co.nz/tv-guide-search. ... tar%20wars

If you haven't seen it, the Phineas and Ferb Star Wars special is not too bad...some very good humour and Easter eggs.

Cool thanks for that, on the topic of Sky has anyone else had things that were series linked drop out by themselves? Weird when it does that and frustrating too.

Here's an article about art direction for 'Rebels' and it contains a link about the Phineas and Ferb SW special as well if anyone's interested...

Other SkyTV channels (e.g., The Zone) are advertising 'Rebels', including the fact that tonight's screenings are of the extended pilot with the added Darth Vader scenes.

I'm really enjoying Rebels, lots of action and nice animation. Glad I tuned in. The TIEs are a bit deformed with smaller wings and larger bodies though, my only complaint although it suits the type of animation style shown it seems to be only the TIEs that have got the deformed treatment for some reason?

I've seen them described as an older, pre-ANH model of TIE. They are scaled as a homage to the original Kenner vintage TIE Fighter toys.

It's a shame they went more toon with Rebels where as The Clone Wars had better accuracy.

They should have stuck with the proposed concept art

Yeah I agree about the concept stuff, shame. If the TIE is based on the earlier Kenner release then I presume it's an excuse to release a Rebels packaged TIE to save making a new mold the cheap buggers ha!

I'll take the less cynical interpretation that it is an honest tribute :p I very much like the way, for instance, you see background Ithorian characters wearing the blue one-piece swimsuit as first seen on the 1978-79 vintage Kenner Hammerhead mini-action figure :)
