Less than 2 weeks until this screens (in the US, and, undoubtedly-but-not-that-we-officially-condone-it, via various internet channels thereafter). I haven't seen an NZ screen-date yet.

Watched it with my kids - we all enjoyed it a great deal. My girls love Hera and Sabine, and also Chopper so he just got added to the buy list. ;) I thought the lower budget compared to Clone wars was most evident in the Wookiees and some of the C level backgrounders like the yogan fruit selling Gotal in the opening scene, who all seemed unfinished, but otherwise the production values were pretty impressive overall. I look forward to seeing where the show goes. I'm just stoked we're following all new characters with unwritten futures. I think it makes the show really interesting, and of course it's a great era to run around in. The whole thing feels like a West End Games Star Wars RPG adventure from the early 90s, but in a good way!

There's a great deal of nostalgia with this show, more so than Clone Wars especially with the music and the characters.

Oh and seeing Stormtroopers and the Empire just looks too cool.

Rumor has it, Vader is gonna be in this season! :vader:

Now I have the bug, just wish the Episodes were longer

Bring on Episode 3! :p

Episode 2 "Droid in Distress" is now available as a free download on iTunes.

[Edit: I've just remembered that I've got a US-based iTunes account, so I haven't been able to see if the download is also available for NZ-based accounts. Hopefully someone else can confirm.]

I really enjoyed the episodes so far - can't wait for more. Love the characters, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with story lines, being much more free to take the original characters where they want (compared to the Clone Wars characters being restricted by Ep2/Ep3). After the first episode I wanted to buy all the available action figures - something I didn't experience with Clone Wars. It could be seeing this era again is adding to Ep7 excitement, but it's just so fun to see completely new Star Wars again :)
