It was a lot of fun. I trust/hope that the major sponsors (Fox, Toyworld, The Rock, Hoyts, XBox) all found it to be beneficial too (it looked like quite a reasonable budget went into it all).

I've put all my photos up on Flickr ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattandkri ... 820110495/ ), and will write a full report for the SWNZ News site shortly, but here are a few more...

That was an awesome day, I couldve easily gone for an hour or so more.

It was so cool seeing so many Imperials in one place, even from within the confines of TK bucket :)

Reverend Strone wrote:Great pictures! Goodness, the costumes are fantastic. :D Great to see Shaak Ti and Aayla in NZ. They're among my daughter's favourites. Juliet carried off her Amidala in style. Great work everyone.
Shaak Ti may be travelling to Wellington and would love to meet a fellow togruta fan again :) Especially as the sheer height of the costume frightens some other younglings...

It was a fun day :) I really wanted to go back to the pop up store and get some lego, but it took so long to take the paint off (Latona's as recommended by the folks at the under the Mountain demo a few years back at Auckland :) ) I didn't :( There was a set that had Shaak Ti and there was a family that pointed to the box and back and me and I found that all too exciting ;)

Your Shaak Ti looked amazing mdb! You've done an Incredible job, and pull off the characters persona so well.
The whole group was quite a site to see all in one place at one time. :victory:

It would be one of the biggest gatherings of Star Wars costumers in NZ since the Episode 3 charity premiere. Great to see so much diversity these days, especially more jedi & rebels - back then I was the only jedi! :)

That would be awesome. Do let us know when you're coming.

Once again folks - fantastic day by the looks of the photographs. Good on you all for making such an effort and so clearly putting smiles on many faces.

This looks like it was awesome. Really disappointed Wellington didn't bother to put on a similar event :(

Yeah, it sounds like it was talked about, but I think 20th C Fox NZ bit off about as much as they could afford to chew putting on the Auckland event.

Hopefully the reports on movie attendance so far aren't a sign of things to come. Otherwise we'd all better take the opportunity to see a Star Wars film on the big screen again while we can.....
