Yet another SW question.

I just saw something in a New Hope that I haven't really thought about before..........

When Luke, Han and the lads arrive on the Death Star they seem to not only kill the two scanning crew guys that go onto the Falcon but also the two guards whos armour they use to get into the Imperial control room and that got me thinking that you never see them get rid of the bodies or even mention them again so does that mean they're flying around the galaxy with four dead guys on board??? If they are well thats just creepy hahaha

I can't remember where I read it so I'm not sure how "official" it is, but the scanning crew and captured Stormtroopers were put into the same secret compartments that Han, etc. hide in during the initial Stormtrooper search. They would then have gotten rid of the dead bodies (or dropped off live prisonners) later after escaping the Death Star, maybe when they reached the Rebel Base.

Obviously we don't see on-screen EVERY tiny detail that happens ... we rarely see the characters eat, they never sleep, etc.

Having four dead bodies stuffed into compartments of your ship isn't really what I'd call a 'tiny' detail hahaha

I understand that they can't show everything that happens but it was just something I hadn't really taken much notice of before....guess I must have been a bit tired when I was watching it

Haha, never even thought about. I'd like to think the four were kept as live prisoners - I'm not sure Obi-Wan would have condoned killing them if there was an alternative.

The story of those four could sure make some fine fodder for an EU short story...

There are times I used to pretend everything was set to stun. But that then starts a whole new issue. Reporting- who does it where do the reports go to, where are they stored. I'm sure the empire ran so efficiently because of a vast array of paperwork wranglers. Would love to see some EU dealing with that side of things The maintenance workers cleaning up after all the fighting or after Vader has a tanty .
The engineers... It's an area rich for plumbing (pun not intended).

Aside from the obvious humour in Eddie Izzards sketch it does look at the daily life of all those troopers The cafe- though I suspect Vader would have his own arrangements. I think that's why I love the Alien franchaise, this reality juxtaposed with otherworld monsters and technology.

This is why the SW universe is so great....the list of topics people can chat about is endless!! The big one for me though is did the Empire use the same contractors to build both Death Stars? If they did they surely must have gone out of business because imagine those poor guy's having to explain that to their insurance company..........

"It was those darn Rebels again!"

"Please don't tell me you built another small exhaust port no bigger than a wamp rat?"

"What no, hhhppppp....don't be daft we plugged that bad boy up on like the second day of the build!"

"Well then how did it get destroyed this time?"

"Th...hhmmm....they flew four or so ships into a huge chain of tunnels we built into the side of the Death Star and blew up the main reactor........"

"You are freaking joking me......."

Theres no way they would have gotten that approved hahahaha
