agree some things will make more sense once the other movies come out
think they have set themselves up nicely for the next 2 movies with just enough stuff to think about how and what will happen,
bring on rogue one, episode 8 and what ever else they have in stall for us

I think a lot of people doing comparisons with ANH seem to have forgotten that it was originally a stand alone movie, a complete story in it's own right. The concept of trilogy only came about on the back of ANH's success.
Whereas this time (like TPM) it has been written as only the first act, full completion was not required.
My 2c (though I must be up to a dollar by now, with all my opinions )
Did anyone picked up Rey's last words to Finn..."Thank you My Friend..."
The worst word for a man.... He is in the "friend zone"...hahahhahaha
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
so went and saw it again in 2d. There's a point during Rey's vision scene where someone cries out "Rey!" Anyone else think it sounded like obi wan Kenobi?

Nice.
Mat B sent me some quick photos from the Visual Dictionary (gotta grab one myself ASAP)...there is confirmation about the origins of that helmet and the doll...click the Spoiler tag to view...

That is a cool pic, Visual Dictionary also on my list.
It doesn't, though, answer any questions as to why Rey has an attachment to those objects (trying to remain vague for those that didn't click the spoiler link). Are they personal to someone she knows / is related too, or are they just ephemera relating to the world around her. We see 1 crashed X-Wing, I imagine there would be plenty more. Or is it just a helmet, she put it on after her meal to watch the sun set - maybe it's just a cheap pair of sunglasses to her.
Dammit! The movie is here, I had assumed ridiculous, somewhat irrelevant conjecture would be done. I have only myself to blame
I was at the Embassy for the 1201 showing great atmosphere and a great night out with my daughter even though I didn't get home till nearly 4 am and had to be up at 5 am to go to work
Just watched it again in 2D with the wife at Queensgate Lower Hutt.
Lots of families at the screening some of the kids would have been in the 5 - 7 years range. Bit young I would have thought.
Will be going again I picked up so much more of what is happening in the back ground the second time around.
Join the Empire they said, See the Galaxy they said, yet here we are stuck on Tatooine
