Okay, this one was a bit of a surprise, but I think it is a very interesting collecible.
I just got a press release from NZMint.com (alt: http://www.newzealandmint.com ) about collectible, legal tender (in Niue) Star Wars coins. They have a couple of sets that include 8 coins and display cases, but on the more affordable side, they will also sell individual coins for NZ$23.50.
The more expensive, full silver (ie, not plated) coins look pretty nice (but if I get any it'll likely be from the affordable individual releases, methinks).
Keep fingers crossed for us, we are currently awaiting information regarding the possibility of retailing these coins in our store...
Rumour has it that the first run of coins scheduled for release shortly has sold through already with another run due in January.
Received a couple of these coins in the post tomorrow. Tooks some quick pics, but will remove them from packaging for more photos shortly. They look very nice so far.

The individual coins are priced quite nicely, and are nice to have even as single pieces.
