Hasbro's "Value Range" of 5.5" Star Wars action figures are $10 at K-Mart stores in NZ. How do they stack up against the more expensive Black Series line? Check out this comparison video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is4OlNpjfg8

Finally, a touch of reality for kids, Star Wars toys at a realistic price point. The Black Series are all well and good for collectors, but paying $50plus for a single small figure that's going to get tortured, and broken relatively quickly isn't a great way of getting kids into star wars.

We have a figure that you can purchase a number for your children to act out their favorite scenes etc. Dare I say it, a solid toy that kids can afford to buy with their own pocket money. Yep, some kids don't rely on the 'Bank of Mum and Dad'. First appearance, they seem to be reasonably well constructed, realistic and detailed, and for $10, great value.

They're NOT a $50 BS figure so they're not perfect! However, kids have imagination so let them run wild in the Star Wars universe.

Please Hasbro....more of this for growing the Star Wars dream in kids.

As a side...there appears to be far more available in this range in the UK. I've just returned from Melbourne they have the same range as we do in stores, so hopefully we'll see the others at some point.

Also available (overseas)
Han Solo, C3P0, Rey Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, First Order Stormtrooper

The new animatronic L0-LA59 collectible from Hasbro is pretty fun. We take a close look at one on our YouTube channel (live now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ-h8OUWCbE ) and personal blog (coming up shortly).

The 6in post-sarlacc Boba is $65! Someone on Facebook called it the "Boba Tax" and it's hard to disagree. Very disappointing to see - do any other countries have to pay more for him? I was wondering if it was a cynical move on someone's part due to Tem being a Kiwi and expecting locals to pay more!

Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter, the Battle-Damaged TIE Fighter, Bo-Katan’s Gauntlet Fighter, Luke Skywalker’s Snowspeeder and Ahsoka Tano’s Jedi Starfighter were all at The Warehouse in Whanganui a couple of days ago.

No sign at all of the bigger stuff, and there is a new display of blindbox toys.
