Wow. They look fantastic. Shame that NZ retailers aren't prepared to look after us Big kids with lots and lots of money to spend on Star Wars toys for both ourselves and our smaller kids.

Here's the response I received last week from Mattel regarding a question I asked about who, if any retailer, would be bringing the Hot Wheels Space Ship collections in to New Zealand this year.

Hello,
Unfortunately for this one – the star wars mix is typically found in sku GJH91 studio character car, however we missed out on the star wars mix based on slow sell through of product on the mix before it.
While we are disappointed about this however the good news is we have a lot of exciting star wars skus to come in 2022.
Kind Regards

A/. I think the question got lost in transmission
B/. I don't think Mattel cares about the small NZ market

That's a confusing response for sure,
Sad and really quite unprofessional.

Heaps of other countries are missing out to not just NZ and Ozzy, I've seen some mean rants from England.

Looking at Entertainment Earth disclaimers I'm beginning to wonder if the plastic or paint isn't up to certain standards stopping them from being on the shelves due to safety reasons.
Another thing is when HW ships came out they were competing with black series ships that were still in stores.
The prices have been high taking my display materials budget but oh well I'm to far in to give up on the series.
Scary thing is finding the Arc 170 and Inquisitor tie on my budget.

A Giveaway of a box of Starships has been offered by The Points Of Articulation YouTube channel to anywhere in the world.
https://youtu.be/qwHT85DJzog
He also does Armada and Xwing reviews.
Even though he's not New Zealand based I feel he deserves a shout out for what he brings to the Star Wars Starship community.

I thought I'd post up some pictures of the difference between the two Jango slave ones, the early one was in a twin pack with the red jedi starfighter and has the flight navigator stand, I used a new type stand in one picture for a better side by side view.

I've also received some information on the next wave of starships that is supposed to include : Mandalorian on speeder bike with Grogu and a re-release of Yodas Starfighter (one of my favs)
I will post pictures when I have available.

Nice. Have always appreciated the attraction of vehicles in this scale.

I realise these aren't apart of the 'ships' line sorry but I just picked them up from the Warehouse and I must say that Hot Wheels do an awesome job with their packaging......Luke and Lando look fantastic and a huge reason why I snapped them up.

SWHW currently at The Warehouse? That's interesting... haven't seen anything there in a while.

They must have hit the shelves in the last couple of days because I was surprised to see them there as well......they had these two plus repacks of the R2, Darth Vader, and two Clone Trooper cars that came out a few years ago.
