I finally got to play this… and, man, it was underwhelming.

It wasn't the gameplay, either, but the environment it was in: you couldn’t hear the effects or the music.

As we all know, both are some of the most important aspects of the Wars!

Do you mean external noise?

Yeah, TimeZone on Queen Street doesn't make for a good environment for audio, sadly.

Yeah, over hyped aye. And the cheeky buggers charge $3 per game and if you finish the level you have to pay an additional $2 to continue to the next.

Bring on Battlefront!

I tried this at the Arcade today. Spent a good $10. Resolution is too low. The sound was too soft. Really over hyped. We can do better when battle front gets released. Only thing that caught my attention is the fan blowing on my face. Wounder if I can wire on up so when the speakers \go the fan will give me a blast.

The Star Wars Battle Pod game now has Episode 7 content - http://www.swtorstrategies.com/2016/06/ ... -live.html

As seen in this US store add from 'Dave & Busters' -

Though we may not see the new level in NZ - a quote from SWTOR Strategies -
The flip side seems to be on the end of the cabinet owners. One comment on the internet said it’s not a free update and that with the dome cabinet itself costing over $30,000, it wasn’t worth it to then pay more than $5K for the update to add one new mission. So if your local Battle Pod doesn’t have the update yet, that just might be why.

I had a go on the one in the civic. It wasn't a pod just a sit down. It was fun but a little to 'scripted' for my liking. I think I missed the exhaust port gah!

After seeing the lines in Anaheim (and being excited by the trailers), I was pretty unimpressed by the game... if anything, they need to pump up the volume!
