RIP Al Williamson

Was sad to hear of the passing of artist Al Williamson overnight. Al was one of my favourite Star Wars illustrators, from when I was much younger. He made significant contributions to the Star Wars comic industry (and the comic industry in general) responsible for the ESB and ROTJ Marvel comic adaptations and other stories, and newspaper strips reprinted in the New Zealand Womans Weekly magazines in the early 80s.

That is sad to hear. I wasn't familiar with his work till this note, but there's no denying the man had great talent, looking at that artwork.
