Just went to see The Hobbit: BOTFA on the IMAX screen today...and they played the EP7 trailer in front of it! Even better, it confirmed that the local release date will be Thursday December 17th 2015 (as we get new releases on Thursday, whereas the US tends to get the on Fridays, i.e., the 18th of Dec). With the dateline coming in to play, that means NZ will have a general release nearly two days ahead of the US!

While there is word that the NDAs expire in April, which is when leaks could become a real problem, this just won't happen.

I'm happy with the December release, too!
