Hey everyone,
Been a while since I've had a Star Wars project so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into this build up! I picked up this latex Yoda kit of Ebay from a geeza in OZ, it came with a head, feet, hands ,walking stick & flute. To be honest the latex casts are pretty average with HEAPS of cleaning up to do & not the most accurate reproduction of our little green friend & after snooping on line it sounds like I'm lucky to have received this kit at all, the seller is black listed on pretty much all the SW forums!
Here's a couple of before & afters of Yodas noggin after a solid weekends graft to try & get him at least semi screen accurate =)
Thanks for looking!

The general shape looks pretty good in those first two pics. I'm sure you'll have him looking quite fine when all finished.
Did he come with glass eyes?

Hey Matt,
I got the eyes from Tech Optics in the US, 38mm glass puppet series full spheres.
Great company to deal with 1 week turn around to make them then they put them on a FedEx 2 day delivery for $14!!

Those eyes look great, I have heard a lot about this seller also, on the by your command forum he had been in a bit of a sticky situation with the Cylon costume build he does for the kit set costume in fiber glass.
Once I get into my new work shop I will have your items finished also.
Thanks again.

Re: Yoda prop wip
I've been mucking around with colors & mixes over the last couple of afternoons, I've found it a bit of a challenge to get the paint/latex ratio right but think I'm on the right track.
Here he is with the first base coat applied & rough foam body to give me an Idea on yodas final height (a very sort 66cm! )
Hope to get a bit more do over the weekend =)

Re: Yoda prop wip
Got most of Yodas head done, used polystyrene to shape a skull trying to get him as Empire Strikes Back looking as I could by flaring out the cheek bones & tapering down the jaw & neck lines.
I used Gino's ("Star wars life size" on Facebook) Yoda puppet as a guide for painting/weathering. Hand punched in the old guys wispy hair & painted his cane =)
