Here's Bazzacks DLT all done. I've gone for a very dark metallic finish or a light metallic black. The guns got a bit more depth in the paint job better than a straight black I reckon. This gun is pretty clean not too much weathering I'm happy with how it came out. Why does everyone else's DLT look better than mine? :ohwell:

Hi all, here is a WIP of my DLT-19.

I did a bit of seam cleaning etc.
Have done the base and top coat so far but a bit more weathering to do. Base coat is a mottle pattern of Dark Metallic Grey and Gunn Metal enamel with a heavy dry brush of Humbrol Silver Metaliser. Over that I did hair spray with acrylic Tamiya Matt Black thinned with water. The chipping process started to expose the enamel base coat by using water to breakdown the hairspray and using anything you can get your hands on to chip away the acrylic top coat.

I have one screw to hold the barrel into the stock section. The barrel is pinned to the muzzle so the weapon is two sections that will fit into my armour box.

I'm going to finish the weathering with a wash of raw umber around the moving parts and pick off some of the detail with grey and silver enamels/oils and once dry put a couple of cats of clear urathane Saturn.

Cheers

Snibo

Oh. Bummer.
I just realised I'm fourth on the list for a second. Is there even likely to be a fourth? :/

Maybe I need to explore some other options with you Oota! When you get a minute could you maybe pm and we can figure out my options, cheers.

starting run 2 this week. It'll be a couple of weeks before anybody see's anything worthwhile! For those of you praying for a second when I stuff up the casting please don't pray too hard :)

I have merged the run list with the armour waitlist so I don't have to muck about with too many lists :)

some crappy WIPS of run 2. the moulds are behaving themselves which is nice I have forgotten how much casting is involved in these things but it's nice when your first cast comes out good!
